About me

Hi, I’m Audrey – founder of Audrey Tan Consulting. I specialise in helping people rise to the top of the pile in the higher education (HE) and public sector job application process.

My journey started out of necessity: as a Canadian on a visa and working in fixed‑term HE roles, every application was do-or-be-deported. I developed an approach that consistently secured interviews, which translated into job offers (7/10 success rate).

I understand the pressure of expiring contracts and high‑stakes applications, and I’m here to help you navigate them with clarity and confidence.

Along the way, I started sitting on recruitment panels and realised something surprising: brilliant people kept making the same avoidable mistakes. That’s why I’ve started Audrey Tan Consulting – to avoid common pitfalls and share the formula behind strong applications and compelling interviews. Now, I help people craft sharp, confident, and tailored applications for jobs in the public sector.

Whether you’ve got a dream job in sight, a contract end date looming, or you’re looking to change direction, I’m here to help you nail it – with confidence, clarity, and maybe even a bit of fun.
